Valentine’s Day Deals!

My husband doesn’t usually buy me a present for holidays like V-day, he just tells me to pick something up at the store for myself.  Some women may be offended by the lack of effort, but I’d prefer to get what I want and spend the same amount of money, rather than him coming home with a stuffed teddy bear from CVS. So all of these crazy V-day deals are perfect for people like me!

If you’re looking for a last minute present or just want to spoil yourself, here’s a list of what I’ve found today:

-Bath and Body Works is offering a free Diamond Mist spray ($16 value) with any purchase. You can pick up a little mini lotion or even some soap for a few bucks. All you have to do is go to their Facebook page, click Get Offer then print the email.

Le Tote is offering $15 off their boutique box, which would make it $35 for the first month. Le Tote is a subscription clothing rental service that has lots of cute items! Use code LTVDAY2014 at checkout. (expires 2/16)

-Benefit Cosmetics is giving a free eye and brow kit with any $75 purchase. Use code BEMINE at checkout.

Carson’s has a promo code for an extra 30% any woman’s apparel yellow dot item. The code is PRESDOT2014 and is valid through Monday 2/17.

Any other deals anyone wants to share out there?

Subscription Box Deals: PopSugar, New Beauty TestTube

Yay! I love holidays because it means LOTS of subscription box deals and goodies to go around!

PopSugar MustHave is offering $10 off a subscription, which would make it $29.95! I learned with PSMH codes that if you’re a current subscriber, make sure to CANCEL your current subscription before buying a new one with the code. I read online where a girl was a current subscriber, used a code and ended up with two boxes. Their customer service said too bad, so sad. What does a girl need two boxes for? Anyway… the code is BOX10 and it’s valid through 2/25. I just got my February box in the mail and will be posting the review soon!

New Beauty TestTube is offering 30% off for new subscriptions! There’s no promo code to enter, just click this direct link and it will offer you the price of $20.95. I’ve never received a TestTube but I may give it a shot with this awesome promo code.

-Sadly, there’s no Glossybox discount code, but if you just have to have the box anyway, use the code HEARTS to get a free lipstick. I haven’t been overly enthused by the spoilers yet this month, but I’ve loved the past two GB’s that I’ve received. (offer expires 2/16)

Birchbox teamed up with US Weekly this month and I’m hoping my box rocks. If you sign up by using the code USWEEKLY100, you get 100 bonus points to use in their shop, which is essentially $10. You’ll also receive 12 issues of US Weekly which is a $10 value also.

This is non-subscription box deal related, but Bath and Body Works has a sale on their mason jar candles for $7 (regularly $12.50) Their spring candles smell divine and they burn so well! My favorites are the Raspberry Peach Macaroon and the Watermelon Lemonade. They also have a few codes, so pick whichever one makes your deal the best.

-CUPID25 ($1 shipping for purchases over $25)
-RMN20FEB (20% off)
-S141770 (Save $10 off a $30 purchase)
-F131769 (Save 20% off a $25 purchase) expires 2/23
-ALOHA20 (Save 20% off any online purchase) expires 5/4

-Another non-subscription box deal, but way too good of a deal to pass up. Get a free Smashbox eyeliner/mascara duo ($21 value) with any $10 purchase to You have to pay shipping, but if you have a Shoprunner account, you’ll get free shipping. No code required, but click this link to get the deal. All you have to do is add $10 worth of merchandise to your cart and the mascara will be added to your cart automatically. (I think my favorite thing that’s on sale on their website right now is loose pigments and nail polish by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.)

Whew! Now I feel like I need to go on a shopping spree with all these awesome deals circulating. Which one will you be picking up today?

Subscription Box Deals – Darby Smart Promo Code & January 2014 Spoiler

With the internet nowadays (namely Pinterest) everyone is dying to DIY. I love Darby Smart because it gives a way for us not-so-crafty folks that want to pretend to be crafty, an easy way to do it. With step-by-step instructions and all the materials you need, anyone can be a success.

I ordered a kit from Darby Smart via a Facebook promo last year to make my own bracelet but haven’t sat down to make it yet. I still love reading their emails and wishing for the day that I was a lot better at this stuff than I am. I made a one-time order with them, so I was really excited to see that they have a monthly surprise box. It’s $19 and there’s a new promo code of my2014 that makes it only $9.50. The January box ships on 1/20, so if you want to order – make sure to act fast. If you don’t want to see the spoiler, then head straight to Darby Smart to order:

Subscription Box Deals – Goodebox New Year Clearance Boxes

I was just scrolling through Facebook, looking for something or someone to entertain me when I got a sponsored post for Goodebox. If you’re not familiar with Facebook or “sponsored posts” they’re basically advertisements tailored to your search history or brands that you’ve liked in the past. Most of the time, they’re junk. For example, I always get diapers targeted to me. I don’t have a kid – don’t really ever see myself as a mom, but I get diaper posts? Uh-huh.

Lately with my subscription box stalking though, I’ve received some pretty awesome targeted posts. Today’s was one of those “where the heck is my credit card, find it NOW”  ads that I quickly took advantage of.

Goodebox is an all-natural box that contains beauty, wellness and lifestyle products. I’ve been wanting to take the plunge and surscribe, but haven’t yet. Their New Year clearance sale costs $20 and will contain 15 samples (and at least one of those will be a full-sized product) What I really like about this sale is that it is truly a one-time only purchase. They don’t auto enroll you in their subscription, so it’s not another box you have to remember to cancel. Also, a lot of us probably have resolutions to be healthier or more natural this year, so this is a great way to be exposed to some new products to help us achieve our goals.

This is the picture I saw in my news feed and they are also displaying on their website:

If you’d like to order the sale box, I recommend buying ASAP as the website says they normally sell out: Update 1/4/14 – these clearance boxes are now sold out.

Have you ever tried Goodebox? Do you know of any other subscription box deals? If so, make sure to leave them below and spread the love.

Subscription Box Deals – Conscious Box and Taste Guru

I woke up to an email in my inbox from Groupon for two subscription boxes today.

The first is Conscious Box, which promises GMO-free and organic products. They offer a Classic box, a gluten-free box and a vegan box. Conscious Box is normally $19.95 a month and it’s on sale for $15.99. Buy here-

The second box is Taste Guru. This is a new one to me, but it looks delicious! Taste Guru offer food-related items that don’t contain gluten, so it’d be a great gift for anyone you know with a gluten allergy or sensitivity. If you’ve ever shopped GF in a store, you know how pricey it is. You can get a one-month deal for $12 or a three-month deal for $37. Buy here-

I also received a unique code in my email for 30% off my first month of Newbeauty Testtube. If you aren’t already a subscriber, I recommend going to their website to sign up for their newsletter in hopes that you get the same code. Can’t share this one though because I plan to use it!

If you know of any other subscription box deals, feel free to share in the comments and spread the love!

Sale Makeup Haul – E.L.F. and Flower Beauty

I read earlier today about Eyes Lip Face (E.L.F.) gift sets being on sale at Target, so I went there as soon as possible before everything was all sold out. E.L.F. is probably my favorite budget beauty brand first off- because it’s cruelty-free and also because the products are always worth the money. My Target had a huge selection left and the kits started at $2.10 going up to $10 for the big set. I went with the smoky eye palette because I love the colors (this one was $2.10, regularly $3.00):

I also found two Sally Hansen glitter polishes. These didn’t have a clearance sticker but were on the end cap with the other sale products. One quick run over to the scanner showed these were only $1.60 each:

I’ve also been loving all these masks that I’ve been getting in my sub boxes, so I picked up a mask for $2.00 by Que Bella. I’ve never heard of this brand, but for the price it can’t be beat:

For all these beauty products, plus a bag of Christmas white chocolate M&Ms, I walked out the door paying less than $10 which made me one happy girl! (And since my husband took over the budget this month, it made him even happier)

Then I headed over to Walmart because I’ve been dying to check out the Flower Beauty products. If you’re not familiar with Flower, it’s the cosmetic line put out by Drew Barrymore. All of the Flower Beauty products are also cruelty-free and come in the cutest containers. I’d already peeped out the website so I kind of had an idea in mind of what I wanted and what to expect price-wise. Nail polishes were $5, lipsticks were around $8 and the foundation was about $10.

I was extremely excited when I found out that there were a bunch of sale products. I ended up with two Flower Beauty $5 eyeshadow palettes (normally $8) and two $3 lipsticks.

I’m really loving the vibrancy of the colors in the first palette.

The lipstick are similar to those colored pencils you had in school, where you take the top color off and put it on the bottom to get to the next color. There are 3 colors in each lipstick, that you can quickly change by removing the top and placing it on the bottom. I’ve only tried one color so far but I love how the color looked on my lips.

There were a few other Flower Beauty products that were on sale, including tinted moisturizer for $5 and mini concealers for $3, but I stopped myself there.

If you go check these sales out, let me know what you end up with!

PopSugar Must Have – Promo code

I just found this awesome PopSugar Must Have (referral link) promo code last night that I wanted to share:Image

This promo would make each box $27 (plus tax) instead of $39.95! It only says “for a limited time” so I’m not quite sure how long this will last.

I’ve received two PopSugar Must Have boxes so far and loved both of them, but December’s box wasn’t so well loved by the universe. I think this is their way of trying to make it right.

Are you going to give them a try?

Edit 1/3/13: I bought my 3-box subscription today with the 3FOR2 code and it still worked! If you’re still wanting to try this and the 3FOR2 code doesn’t work for you, a new code was posted today of NEWYEAR and it takes off $30 for a 3-month subscription. It should come out to the same price as the 3FOR2 code.
